Through a Core Onboarding partnership, Digifianz helped Design219 centralize and automate their marketing operations within HubSpot, integrating their existing tools and streamlining their email marketing and campaign management processes.
About Design219:

219 Design is a Silicon Valley-based product engineering and design consultancy. Since 2004, they’ve partnered with forward-thinking companies to turn complex ideas into innovative, high-impact products. Their expertise covers hardware, software, UX/UI design, and IoT solutions for industries ranging from medical devices to consumer electronics and automotive technology.

With a multidisciplinary team of engineers and designers, 219 Design offers full-cycle product development services, helping clients move from concept to market-ready products with confidence.

Project and Goal:

Design219 set out to test HubSpot’s potential by first implementing the Marketing Hub to centralize and simplify their marketing operations — particularly email marketing. The objective was to automate recurring tasks, consolidate data for better visibility, and lay the groundwork for integrating sales and service processes later on.

Key initiatives included:

  • Data Migration: Contacts and companies.

  • Mailchimp Integration: Connecting HubSpot with their existing Mailchimp account.

  • Domain Connection: Setting up email sending domains in HubSpot.

  • Email Marketing Setup:

    • Creating branded email templates.

    • Automating email marketing workflows.

    • Building a monthly newsletter system, including a subscription form.

  • Audience & List Management:
Replicating Mailchimp audiences as HubSpot lists.

  • Marketing Campaign Management:
Creating and tracking campaigns from within HubSpot.

  • Social Media Integration:
    Connecting their LinkedIn company page.

Main Challenges:

At the time of implementation, Design219’s marketing team consisted of a single person — making it essential for the platform to be as automated and self-sufficient as possible, reducing manual workload and freeing up time for higher-value tasks.

Another significant challenge was migrating everything from Mailchimp (contacts, audiences, templates, and workflows) while preserving structure and ensuring continuity in their communication processes.

Results and Outcome:

By the end of the Core Onboarding, Design219 had a fully connected, automated Marketing Hub environment, allowing them to:

  • Centralize their marketing tools and contacts inside HubSpot.

  • Automate email marketing campaigns and follow-ups using pre-built workflows.

  • Create subscription forms and newsletters for regular outreach.

  • Mirror their Mailchimp audiences with new HubSpot lists for easier segmentation.

  • Connect and manage social media channels directly from HubSpot.

  • Improve the management of marketing contacts and email deliverability.

This enabled their marketing lead to efficiently handle communications and campaign management with minimal manual effort, while maintaining data consistency for future sales engagement.

Guidance and Continuity:

Throughout the Core Onboarding process, Digifianz worked closely with Design219 through weekly working sessions. These live meetings provided space for platform walkthroughs, tailored training, and real-time troubleshooting as their marketing workflows and tools were built.

At the conclusion of the onboarding, we provided session recordings, step-by-step video tutorials, and marketing best practices documentation to support their internal use of HubSpot moving forward. This gave their team the resources and confidence to manage campaigns and marketing automation independently.

Conclusion:

This project successfully equipped Design219 with a scalable, automated marketing infrastructure within HubSpot — allowing them to consolidate their tools, streamline communications, and position their team for future growth.
